Wizard......

No, not the 70’s Glam Rock quartet, but the new project Wizard on PP !

When I try to start a new project with the wizard, or indeed in any way, I select the template fill in the boxes for File location, Name, for, Start, By, User name etc, and click OK, but nothing happens.

I am forced to open existing project and alter them to create a new project.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

    Hi Ken

I create a standard bar chart for a particular type of project with set up calendars - resources - work patterns etc.

When a new programme is required I just copy the chart and save as required.

Then adjust for the new start dates etc and start adding tasks.

I never use the wizards but set up a bespoke base evry time.

    Best regards

This is almost always down to restricted access to the \Project \Template folders in the install folder.
Change these to Full Control and you should be OK.

The one advantag eof the Template route (rather than Mike’s Copy/Paste) is that it sets "Week 1" on the Date Zone in all Views of the project.
Just saves you a little hassle at set-up time.
