Good Day

I want to find out about the following.

For e.g. I have a project with three disciplines namely Mechanical, Electrical and Civil all working on different task calendars which I set up in the "Change Working Time" function. Once the calendars are created, I then apply them to each discipline accordingly.

My question is, the project calendar settings in "Tools - Options" menu only allows me to set up 1 calender with regards to hours in the day, hours per week and days in the month. This will have an affect on the other disciplines, what can I do to have accuracy with regard to the project calendar?

    Hello,
    Basically, you cannot do anything:
Calendar options are used by MSP to compute how many hours per day / per week, how many days per month a resource available 100% is able to work; e.g. Alexandre is available 100%, he will work 8 hours per day on a 5 day task, that makes a 40 hour workload on this task.
MSP is not very good at managing a project with several task calendars; you should be very cautious when building and checking your schedule.
    All the best

    Hi Alexandre

Thanks for the comments and reply. At the end of the day that is all one can do, is be careful and try to achieve accuracy. I always want my plan to reflect reality as close as possible.

    Kind regards from SA
