Can anybody help how to assign resources in 1 activity

Duration: 10 days
First 5 days of the duration = 2 carpenter
other 5 days of the duration = 3 carpenter

is this possible to MS project or ill break the activity?

    it is possible to assigne resources the way you want, but I would suggest you don’t and create two activities instead
    I assume that the 2 or 3 carpenters are working full time
    1. set the activity type as Fixed Duration (Activity Info, Advanced, Activity Type)
    2. Display the Task Usage View
    3. Assign TWO carpenters to the task
    4. browse the task in the right pane of the screen until you reach day 6
    5. change the amount of work from 14h (or 2d) to 21h (or 3d)
    6. do the same until day 10.
