Export scheduled tasks into MS Project

I need to make a pictorial representation in MS Project of scheduled maintenance tasks. We can get the information on scheduled start date repeat every ? days etc in an excel file .csv or other.
Can this be imported into MS Project such that I can see an annual plan of my plant and see when equipment is due for maintenance?
This might sound a stupid question but I’ve only just started exploring project.

You just have to create your Excel file the way you want the data to look in MS Project,
then launch MS Project, click File, Open, browse to your Excel file and open it
if the MS Project table is not arranged in the same order as the columns in Excel, you will have to map an import table in File, Save As, ... have a look to the online help for more details
