alerts for events

Hello,

there is no such alerts in MS Project as in Primavera P6, I mean alerts that you will assign to WBS levels (summary tasks), or resources

it is easy however to assign a "Deadline" to as task, and use this deadline as an alert:

open the Task information dialog and go to Advanced, select the appropriate date for the Deadline;

MS Project will display a new symbol in the Gantt Chart; as long as the scheduled finish date doies not exceed the deadline, nothing else is diplayed; when the scheduled finish date exceeds the deadline, a new red symbol shows up in the Flag (Blue uppercase I) column.

I do not use Outlook, and cannot answer your 2nd question
