Our company have upgraded to P6 yesterday from P3e 4.1 and I am experiencing a couple of minor problems, as follows:

1. I am trying to make a global change however I cannot select the ’BL Project Early Finish’ field from the displayed list. I can only select ’Project Finish’. Is there a way of importing this column heading so it can be used?

2. When I import a baseline, either by converting the current project or by saving a copy of it as a separate project and importing it as a BL, the start and finish dates of the imported BL change and display old dates, which may have been used as data dates or past dates from many months ago. How do you import a BL without it using old redundant dates?

    Hi.
question 2 : maybe you can try on changing this option. Goto Admin -> Preference -> Earned value -> in Earned value calculation , change value to "Budgeted value with current date"

Now create the baseline again and see whether the baseline date change.

    Hi.
question 1 : There is BL Project start value in Date group. Usually it is identical to BL Project early start.

    Hi,

About Question 2: There are two steps to import a baseline. First step, maintain BL and second one is Assign BL as Project BL and also Primary user BL.
Are you sure that you realized these two steps?

    Hi Selcuk.
    I’m sure what I talking . :-)
After you reconfigure the option I presented, you create a new baseline in Maintain baseline function, and then assign the new baseline to Project BL and Primary BL.

    Regards
