Baseline in P6

Hello Guys,
I have created a new program in P6, it was also save as baseline. So initially both BL1 Start/BL1 Finish and Start/Finish has the same date. I’m trying to update the baseline just to see how much of the activity has been completed so far (after 1 month of the project start date). But what happen is that the baseline (BL1 Start/BL1 Finish) was just move to 1 month same as Start & Finish dates, unlike in P3 you can know easily how much progress should done as per schedule, just 1 click of the update progress.
Please enlighten me.

Guys, I don’t understand you. This file is delivered together with the software. If your IT installs P6 it’s their obligation, to save some documentation onto a server or the local pc - if they have a basic understanding of their duties. At least for those users who are able to understand it. In other cases manuals must exist.
Kick your IT into the ...! They are paid to do a job!
