resources / budgeted units issue

Another query which I’m sure some of you might answer easily. When adding a resource on an activity which already has 10 different resource with budgeted units, is there a setting that allows the system to stop splitting the units already there? ie 100hrs split over 5 resources when adding a 6th resource P6 will re distribute the budgeted units accross the 6 resources automaticaly.

    Ceck Edit --> User Preferences --> Calculations --> mark "preserve..."
