adding contractor schedule to original one

When the project reaches construction phase, is it possible to add the schedule recieved from the contractor to the original project schedule and make it as one big schedule ? Can that be done ? we tried it but we are having issues with the S-Curve,since it will not match what can i do ?

Yes, it is possible. But first, make sure that you have a backup of both projects.
Open the Two projects, the original project and the contractor schedule. Go to WBS workspace and copy or cut the WBS and paste to the original project.
Be sure to mark all the checkbox of the "Copy WBS Options" & Copy Activity Options" and relate or link these activities to your original project.
With regard to S-Curve, I think you need to double check the resources assigned to your activities. You can modify or change the quantity using excel sheet.
