P6 - Stand Alone??

Planners,

I have a laptop and I want to install a P6 version on it as stand alone..Before to do so, Is P6 capable to be used as stand alone software just like P5 which does not require web base support server? Need a help please..

    P6 supports stand alone.

    just install if you have p5 installed in your computer and it will upgrade your database.

    There is no P5 installed in my laptop..am i going to directly installed it as usual without prompted to use a server? and then create a new database for the newly installed programme.

    Joseph,
    just select "Stand alone" when prompted by the installer; PM6 stand alone database is the new MS SQL Express, no longer MSDE as with PM5; you will not have to build the database yourself
    the whole process takes a small 10 minutes
