Dear all,

Can we do monte carlo risk analysis in Oracle Primavera 6 .Can we perform 1000 iterations & generate graph? How good is the report?

    Hi Sankar,

    Monte Carlo has been superseded by Primavera Pertmaster / Primavera Risk Analysis which uses the Latin Hypercube simulation and can perform 1,000 iterations.

    Jay;You have a choice in PRA

    You have a choice in PRA - hypercube or MC (Risk Analysis/Options/Analysis/) - depending upon how fast you need an answer.  As I understand it, hypercube uses fewer samples and was important when there was less computing power available.  Not so important now.

    I believe a 'better' answer is obtained by unchecking Latin Hypercube and using Monte Carlo - I could be wrong.  Might be a good topic/question in the Risk forum.
