Hi Everybody!
 

If someone is still struggle from manually cleaning POBS from .xer files, I wrote a small software to do it automatically.

It supports unicode languages. No data loss.

Please check it out. It is free to use.

Don't worry, there is no virus/keylogger/miner etc in this software.

You can download it from <link removed>

Please let me know if you want to download it from another place or software is not working as expexted. I'll try to fix it.

    Having a tool is nice, but you can just open in Notepad and delete the relevant lines. And Risk Categories are the new POBS..

    Can you tell me more about Risk Categories and why they are the new POBS?
    I just don't use them in my daily work.

    Technically it will be easy to delete them as well.

    As for the Notepad you are right, it is pretty fast to do manually if you do it on dayly basis using keyboard shortcuts, but the main purpose of the tool was to provide such result for people who is far from advanced PC users (mostly new users).

    But anyway, thanks everybody for the feedback

    I'm not sure exactly how it happens, or it what versions it manifests itself, but If the database is importing XERs from multiple sources, it seems that Risk Categories for the entire database are included in any XERs generated. So essentially the same issues as with the POBS table. But unlinke POBS, if they're being used its not as simply as just wiping the table out of the XER.

    Just checked one of my own project backup's & both the Risk Type & NonWork tables have been included, even though they are not allocated anywhere in my project.

    Primavera version used is V17.7 EPPM.

    Looks like the POBS issue has been solved in Primavera, only to add additional unallocated Tables instead!

    Is the cleaner work in P6 ver

    Is the cleaner work in P6 ver 18. I have cleaner working in older P6 vrsion

    You can also try ScheduleCleaner. The application removes POBS, units, rates, costs and other data.
