Primavera Contractor to P3

Guys,
I need help with Primavera contractor and P3 conversion. My sub contractor is using Primavera Contractor and i use P3. when he sends me his weekly updates i can not open the files in P3. There are two methods he can send me the files, as an XER format which is good for p5-p6 or as P3. When he does send it to me in P3 what i get is a bunch of P3 sub-files like XXXXacc.p3, XXXXact.p3 etc. For some reason when i try to open these with P3 i go to the folder where this is located but P3 does not see the files.
Does anyone know why? How can i get that fixed so i can open these schedule ?

Also remember P3 is a 16 bit application so it is limited to read 64 characters file names and 8 characters per subdirectory. Try copying your files into a folder with an 8 or less characters name, move the folder to your P# projects folder and try again.
