RESOURCE UNIT changed

Hi guys;

Can you help me figure out, what’s happening with my resources. I’m having a problem with my resources after running the schedule.

Ex.

i input 1-unit of equipment or resource to a certain task. But after running/scheduling, it turns out to 0.01 sometimes 0.33, or it’s not whole number.

And eventually this will affect all my tabular/graphical reports.

WHY?

I am using a correct calendar.

Anyone can help me.

    In P3 once you assign budgeted quantity ,it gets divided by activity original duration to get units per day ,the decimals you are talking about is unit per day I trust .

    Thanks for your idea, i am also aware of that. But i want to retain it to a whole number,

    say 1 day of task... then i input 1 unit of
    resource.

    After i run/schedule.. i recheck my resource/s and it turns out into 0.0~ something. It’s no whole number of unit.

    I encounter this just lately.

    Isn’t it the 1-unit of resource that i input should remain as 1-unit? How come it will become.. 0.0~ or not a whole number.

    I don’t think that you will find a solution.
    In Spider Project there is special material property - discrete consumption. If it is not selected then materials are consumed in the proportion of the work done.
    I do not remember this feature in P3.
