What is Top down estimation in Primavera P6 pls give me full details

Koe b nahi daiga q k kisi ko ati to baat hi kia thi :D :D jin ko agar ati hogi to wo sikhaiye gai nahi q k unki soch hi conservative hai.............. lehaza go and get education from the authorized institute. Muje b nahi ati aur main b chahta ho seekhna per is jungle main koe institute nahi hai :D

Basically Top down estimation is for your top boss. their are many types of estimation, Top down, Bottom down , G&A etc..

So let’s imagine you planned resources with 100hrs of job, but after verification by your boss saying, this resource can complete this job within 96 hrs, then what you will do, for this cause Top down estimation using. Where without changing to the resources duration you can change it from Top down estimation, so equally it will distribute the work.
