Successors calapse when manually starting or completing a predecessor

Hi,

 

When I manually tick the start option of a task and then hit shedule, the successors will fall back to the data line.

 

The same thing happens when I Manually complete a task the successors will fall back to the dataline.

 

Is there anyone with a solution to this problem?

P.S. Manually complete or start meaning not with the datadate update.

    Are the actual start/end

    Are the actual start/end dates you are manually entering earlier or later than the data date?

     

    When you say "fall back" to the data line, do you mean the successors become later than they were showing before you scheduled, or earlier?

    You are probably suing

    You are probably suing progress override option in the advinced schedule options menu. Change this option to retained logic and successors will not fall back on the data date.

    Hit F9 --> Options -->

    Hit F9 --> Options --> "General" tab --> check retain logic option.
