Starting with Planning Engineer Carrier is it goo

Dear Planners,
Today i turned 23yrs of age.I started my carrier as planning Engineer before 11/2 years ago after completing my graduation in Civil engineering.I feel planning is really interesting job to do but i dont know whether starting my carrier as planner with any other experience will help me...Please suggest me

    if possible, invovle in estimation, quantification alongwith execution.

    It will best at this initial stage.

    Hi Balaji,
    I think the Project control and reporting side of Project management is interesting, many organisations are now looking for planners who can compare baselines against actuals, EVA for example may be good to specialise in.
