PRA 8.6: Why do Oppty Hammocks cause zero TF?

Background: PRA V8.7, using opportunities within the risk register of PRA
My PM wants an explaination why an activity (that contains an oppty node) with 1.5yrs probilistic float has a
100% critical index. From what I can see it is the hammock off the Oppty node
with zero total float causing it.
Is there a valid reason why this happens?
