Hi Admin

It seems as though there is room on the planet for a trivia section.

Nothing to do with planning - just a forum to exchange jokes and challenges.

Can anyone who is not of celtic stock tell me what the Craic means?

Best regards

Craic or crack is a term for fun, entertainment, and enjoyable conversation, particularly prominent in Ireland

A classic expression of working in London in the 60s and 70s; "the craic was good in Cricklewood"

A time when the HSE morons were non-existent and real men did the work and imbibed in Butty Sligo’s pub afterwards.

With all the rules and superfluous regulations nowadays, the craic has sadly died away, particuarly in South Africa, where only the immigrants have heard of it.

The Craic is what used to happen (and I hope still does) at the end of the weekly planning meeting at about 6 o’clock in the local pub - meeting starts at 4 pm and goes on until no-one is left standing.

    Hi Neil

"I think this is a form of Irish male grooming..."

Surely that is what goes on in Pat Pong!

    Best regards
