GPCCAR - Module 09 Managing PROJECT PROGRESS

Dear Planning Planet & Guild of Project Controls Members, The Guild of Project Controls Compendium and Reference - our GPCCAR

Dear Planning Planet & Guild of Project Controls Members,

The Guild of Project Controls Compendium and Reference - our GPCCAR

Module 09 - "Managing Project Progress"

IS HERE NOW! - Go to The Guild pages on Planning Planet to view all the BoK modules. Only PP members & GPC Members can see GPCCAR

The concept is that the GPCCAR summarises the concepts and points us to good references.

93,000 Guild page views last week!  We have deliberately moved to Module 9 as the current module is the fourth of four which make up the subject matter for the FOUNDATION LEVEL Certification in Planning & Scheduling.

We have been asked (by the community) to rollout the Planning & Scheduling Foundation Level documentation first. This consists of the following modules from our overall GPCCAR...

Keep those emails coming in; we are amazed at the feedback and expressions of interest to help - thanks everyone.

Together we are making a difference... if you want to HELP IMPROVE / OWN / MANAGE THIS MODULE - get in touch.  It is a global / collective effort by "us planners, schedulers, cost estimators, quantitiy surveyors and project controls people" so do get invovled.

The GPCCAR effectively frames the opinions of the Global Project Controls Community.

Please encourage your colleagues to join Planning Planet (or the Guild) if they wish to see the GPCCAR modules themselves - its all free and gratis.

STOP PRESS!

Your Guild Group in QATAR is holding a meeting on the 18th of November... not much time so you need to be quick! On the 18th of November 18.30 - 20.30 time to network and listen to THREE presentions:

Himanshu Vyas – Progress Measurement System

Terry Dawson - Time Impact Analysis

Pierre Snyman - P6 – Team Member Mobility

The venue will be in DOHA - at the Intercontinental Hotel so we need to know the numbers by the 15th....contact your Guild representative Pierre Snyman by email snypier66@gmail.com to reserve your place!
Finally we attended a seminar in Holland courtesy of The ARAM GROUP who gave us the opportunity to present The Guild of Project Controls to the Dutch Project Controls community.

We again wanted to say a big thankyou to both ARAM and Business School Netherlands for organising things - jointly these two organisations have launched an MBA programmme which is well worth a look.

Go to ARAM Group for more information.

Your Guild hope to make an interesting announcement with ARAM in the near future!

WHATS NEXT?

As you may already know, each week we will be releasing the next module and at the footer of each of the Modules there are details of how you can get involved to change or improve upon this initial baseline or even to have it point to an external reference on the Interweb that you like or feels add's value. That's All Folks...

Regards....
