Cost Accounts and the Activities Screen

Hi,

we're looking to make use of Cost Accounts within our projects, and I have a small question to ask of the experts.

If we have two resource IDs on an activity, both with the same cost account allocated - is there a way for the activity to be grouped with other activities with the same?

Currently I get as far as the below screenshot, and it keeps them separate.

Any ideas much appreciated

    Cost account is an attribute

Cost account is an attribute of the Resource Assignment and Expenses tables. Therefore, you should be in the Resource assignment rather than Activities window to group by Cost account. Of course, you then cannot list activities without a resource.

Note: There is no 'Cost' Window, because P6 was never actually finished, just sort of abandoned when Oracle bought it

There is no 'Resource/Cost barchart' like P3 could do in 1995, because it was never finished.

The only way to see costs from expenses and resource assignments on one report is using the tabular reports

    Thanks,ideally I'd like to be

    Thanks,

ideally I'd like to be able to output earned value data at cost account level, but due to version we currently use it's not an available field on the resources tab. We'll be upgrading soon, so can make better use.

    Hi in the Activities windos,

    Hi

in the Activities windos, for the layout use the Group & Sort icon, starting with Accounts ID.

    regards
