Dear people,

Can anyone suggest me a method to remove a set of predecessors from my project. For expmple, I have 100 activities & I realised that 50 activities have wrong predecessors. I don’t want to go to each & every activity & remove the predecessor as it is time consuming.

    i think u cant remove a SET of predecessors.

    U can remove the entire relationships, by replacing the file ***REL.p3 with a blank file.

    i m afraid, its not possible!!

    Hi Naveen

    Predecessor assignment is a list. So you cannot use e.g. "Fill Cell" or equivalent. You really have to touch each activity and to remove the relationship. You can make life easier, if you reduce the view by a filter to just those activities you want to remove their prodecessors.
    If you are a programmer the API would be possible. But then it would need a filter, too.

    Hi Naveen,

    U can export the activities relationships to an excel sheet in which u’ll be filtering for those 50 activities.
    Once u export the file, open it and delete all the predecessor data (eg. columns titled: Predecessor, Predecessor Activity Name, Relationship Type, etc..).

    Hello Everybody, Another way to procede could be : If the predecessor is not started yet, you shoud be able to delete it ; and you then just have to create it again. By deleting it, you delete the wrong links. Good luck, Patricia
