P5 CANT CHANGE E/S TO ACTUAL DATES

Please help urgently, I have imported a MSP project to P5, I have set my schedule and have baselined the schedule and now when I want to progress and put in actual dates it won’t change to new actual start dates

    Don,
    go to status, click the actual date,then put a value on the peercent complete.
