PPlanet,

How are people managing the anuual leave of their resources?

If you have hundreds of resources what is the most efficient way?

Are you using resource calendars? Who manages the calendars?

One at a time with a lot of effort. Some companies set up a link to their HR module but this takes a bit of effort and funds.

    Hi

We only manage holiday/leave more than 3 days and 2 weeks in advance. Because, if it is within the next 2 weeks, it will be not worth it to change the entire plan.

With Paul recommendation, we cannot apply to it simply because our HR department is very lazy, they only record leave in the Past not the future. Because they said it will be too much maintenance work if the leave application is withdrawn/modify etc...

I think a good idea for Primavera is to include the power to edit resource calenders via the timsheets module.

    Previously,

I worked in a construction company with more than 20,000 ++ employee.

They did not use Primavera P3, P5 or other planning software to manage annual leave.

they were able to manage seamlessly.

    The secrets:

Hire low paid clerks from third world countries.

    common sense

There is no such thing as low paid in the UK, we have a national minimum wage.
