Importing P5 project into Contractor 6.1 problems

When I import a P5 project (xer) into Contractor 6.1, the budgeted total costs are modified. They should be the same values. There are no other problems, eg: activities, logic, durations are all correct. It seems to be only the budgets that are an issue. Has anyone had this problem and worked out a solution?

The project I was importing had a currency based in Australian dollars and the project I was importing into was based on US Dollars. This currency exchange was set to 1.7964 so my original project of say a budget - $100M was showing up as $55M when imported.
