Replacing WBS

I have a schedule based on a WBS which has now been seperceded. Can I ’hold’ the current WBS as Activity Codes, then delete the existing WBS, then enter the new WBS and apply to the activities? Or is there a smarter way to accomplish this? All help appreciated.

Cheers, Omar

    Omar,

I think i understand your Question...

Just go into the WBS and change the titles, this will keep the activities where they are....?

Or did i not understand your Question?

Make Activity Codes for WBS and Assign them using Global Change..this will help assigning codes to the complte WBS at one time...Now Before Deleting the WBS Define New WBS and then again using Global Change / Cut / Paste shift the activities to the New WBS....Go to WBS and insert column for No. of Activities ....check if the WBS has any activity..if it is 0 Then u can very well Delete the WBS because you have it is codes
