resource allocation issue

Hello Guys,
i wanted to know if i can assign the resources of the previous Years Shut down for the present year.
since the resources are assigned with respect to the craft i.e.pipe fitter,helper etc.
so wanted to know if it will affect the schedule while i am doing the resource levelling

please guide me ..

    if the schedule is inactive, primavera will not take its resources’ assignment into consideration...I guess

    Kumar,
    Resource levelling follows date for non progress activities or remaining task and will ignore all actual and completed.
