Importing MSP into P6.1

I am having trouble importing and MSP project into P6.1.

I have definitely successfully imported MSP before so am a little confused as the problems seem to be at the MSP end.

When I begin the import process its runs as expected but then MSP opens in the background and the following error message appears

"Cannot save project

Microsoft Office Project does not support saving projects into ODBC, MPD, or MDB formats. Please save the file in a format that is supported by Project"

Does anyone know why this is happening now and not previously? Or is there a P6.1 setting that I have changed that has created an incompatibility issue?

Your help will be greatly appreciated.

    Nathan,
What version of MSP are you saving? P6 support only MSP 2003 below. Sometime it’s possible on MSP 2007 but always have error.

I am using 2007. That is somewhat annoying. I must have been on 2003 previously when it worked then.

Perhaps there is a patch for 6.1 on the knowledge base

    Nathan,
I’m not sure because P6 MPX converter also works only on MSP 2003 below. The best work around is to save as MSP 2003 and use P6 MPX converter then import to P6. Click below to download P6 MPPtoMPX converter.
