Activity Forecast when scheduling

Hi Everyone,
I have an activitiy which include labor, non-labor and material cost and they are not lunp-sum ones. When scheduling, I have two problems under P6 V7 environment.
1) In Project 2K3, a gant bar can be split into several parts to reflect that an activity was suspend at a special time. While in P6, seems bars cannot be split and can only realize this by "suspend & resume".
If an activity will suspend more than once when forecast, how can I do in P6?
2) If want to forecast an antivity’s cost, labor or non-labor (not material purcurement), how can do it except in resource curve way? cos if use resource curve, then it needs to changes several times when project baseline changes.
Is anywhere can put the forecast amount in P6 or have new ideas for that?
