Dear Experts

please advice me on this query..

We are presently using the desktop server in our company.the software(p6.2) is installed in one of the computer which has the following configuration.

ram 3 GB

HARD DISK SPACE 160GB

PROCESSOR SPEED 2.2GHZ

It is like a normal PC which we are using in the company.

now presently around 5 people are using the software concurrently .

but in the coming months may be the users will increase to 10.

so i wanted to know if this server can withstand the load and work smoothly.

    Kumar,

    I would expand the PC a little bit, for comfort and speed; let's say Ram = 4GB, Hard Disk = 500GB

    which database are you using? Oracle or SQL Server?

    I advise you to read P6

    I advise you to read P6 Administration manual and their requirements, as well as the tested/supported configurations. If you do not have it, you can dowload it from Oracle.

    I am using the sql server data base.

    what i observed is in the peak time  when there are more users accessing the software,the sysytem gets hanged.

    so as you suggested if i upgrade then the problem may be solved i think..
