Updating Activities

Dear Planners,
The activity I have, scheduled to start on 3 rd and finish on 6 th, go to updating stage, the activity actually started on 7 th which I ticked it but the program does not accept that as a message says "actual start date can not be beyond the finish date" though the finish date should be shifted after running the schedule.
