remaining units and original duration

Could someone please explain what is happening here in P6, Whenever I reduce/increase  my original duration in p6 my remaining units/time remain unchanged. I guess this should be changing with duration

    Victor,look at the Duration

    Victor,

    look at the Duration type field in the AQctivity Detail, General tab: I suppose that it is set to Fixed Units/time

    to change the remaining units/time when you change the activity duration, you should set to Fixed Units
