Resource Issues when Importing P3 to P6

Hi,
I am having issues when importing my P3 plan to P6. for some reason when I import activities from P3 to P6 neither the budgets or resources are being brought over. is there a configuration setting in P6 I need to for this to work, or is there something I need to do in P3 to allow this migration etc?
any advice would be much appreciated.
