duration % comp doesnt update

There are several reasons why the updating of the duration % completion are not showing.

• The activities to be updated must have % completion type Duration. You can check this by going to the General tab and make sure that duration %  is ticked. Others are units and physical & completion.
• Make sure that you have assigned the appropriate baseline. When you have made new activities and you have not baselined these activities correctly than the values shall not be updated.

my activity % completion type is duration.And i assigned baseline.i didnt add new activity or delete.but duration % comp doesnt change.i m checked the other projects on p6.on my project  "Link Budget and At completion for not started activities"

is not active and i cant mark it maybe problem is here?

It seems that i cannot help you any further . Are you sure that you are displaying the correct column for "duration % completion"? You can check this by verifying whether the % completion in the status tab is the same as the display in the column you are using.

Maybe  Raymund may have a solution

Had you set the activity as started by checking the check box beside started?

And are you a poweruser of the program?

Check activity type. It looks like Activity Type is "WBS Summary". P6 will never let you update the % of WBS Summary activity and it will bring % back when you reschedule.
