User defined field in projects window

Hi

I've tried creating a user defined field for the projects window but for some reason after I've created it and then gone to put it into the layout it doesn't show as an option in adding columns. No problems with the other windows. Is there something within the settings that I need to change?

    udfs will be at the botom

    udfs will be at the botom when looking for them
