Why can't I open two projects and copy activities from one to the other? pastes into the same...

Why can't I open two projects and copy activities from one to the other?  the 2nd is just a later update, tries to paste back into the same project... - this should be easy, like from one spreadsheet to another - is there a trick to this?  Pastes it back into the same one and want to just rename the activities....I guess I could export and import but surely there is an easier way....

    Yes there is a trick. Some of this might not be necessary now, but I always: Group and sort by WBS Do not 'hide if empty' Always select using the left mouse button, before right-clicking and paste
