Dear All,
All of us enjoy music. But few of us (or none of us) are musicians !
So what will happen , if some one give us a ’note’ when we ask for the song? Does ♪♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪♫ convey anything to you? I think your answer will be ’NO’.
So , what about project control guys who submit lots of project specific tech/cost info to senior management who dont have a clue on those (or least interested in knowing them!).
Please discuss the last innovative reporting technique used by you , or even a conventional reporting methodology , which you felt extremely effective.
Let me start with the KPI visualisation article which I wrote in my blog. Please go through the link given below:

    Dear Sree,

Most of the Senior Managers who are reading the reports send more than 50% of their time in FINANCE. But what they have on their mind is QUALITY.

If you are a decision maker reading a report, then that report is MUSIC to his ears. If the numbers are singing the right song; Cost, Scope and Time, then you will be happy.

The KPIs for any process would be to maximize the customer satisfaction and minimize the cost.

    Good luck.

It is true that senior managers are mainly interested in cost. The reason for this is , ’the ultimate aim of doing business is to make money’ !

The best example is the EVM KPI’s !
