I AM DOING A LUXUARY YACHT PROJECT
’BASE LINE’ -WAS PREPARED BASED ON THE CONTRACTUAL TIME PERIODS
THE PROBLEM IS ,ALL THE DRAWINGS WERE TO COME FROM GERMAN
NAVEL ARCHITECTS

WE ARE GETTING DRAWINGS PART BY PART ie ONE CABIN THIS WEEK SECOND CABIN ONE WEEK LATER ETC.
NOW THE MANGEMENT WANTS HOW THE WORK OF INDIVIDUAL CABINS AFFECTED DUE TO THIS. ie CONSIDERING DRAWING RECEIPT DATE
AS THE START DATE OF A PARTICULAR CABIN HOW MUCH PROGRESS WE ACHIEVED AND HOW MUCH SHOUD HAVE BEEN THE PROGRESS AT A GIVEN TIME. I DONT WANT TO BREAK THE PROJECT IN TO DIFFERENT SEGMENTS AS I HAVE ADDED ALL THE RESOURCES AND MANAGEMNT REQUIRES THE RESOURCE REQUIREMENT DETAILS TIME TO TIME FOR THE WHOLE PROJECTS.,I DONT HAVE P3e/C ANY SOLUTIONS IN -P3

    Dear Kumar,
    SD = Shop Drawings
    I wonder, if they ares sendeing the SD of cabines "one Cabine/one week" sure the first one or two SD activities may be Critical, but the others will not affect the critical path. and that depend on the duration assumed for one cabine.
    Only if you upload a different team for each Cabin, i wonder what funny Man-hours histogram you will get.?

    now you want to know the Planned progress at a specific date?
    y dont you try the (CTRL+F9). but if the SD activities are not broken down and linked as reality, the CTRL+F9 will give you a false report. To fix that, you can tie by a constraint the driving (1st) activity of each Cabin Manufacturing. and suppose the programme with constraints as you new baseline, sure the ending dates will be affected.
