I have just started working on suretrak again after quite a while. this query relates to progressing an activity to data date 23-sep-07
Activity details
OD - 20 days
progressed 50% to 23-sep-07 with actual start 25-jul-07
rem dur calculated as 10 days
now when i shedule the project to data date the activity runs all the way to 2-nov. logically it should just extend to 5-oct considering 10 days after data date. i cannot see any reason why it should when there are no finish to finish links on the activity at all.

Oldest first- 0Wasi Raza ·ah i never thought of that and probably the problem is as you figured. one of the predecessors to the predecessor hasnt completed. it looks a bit like as shown below with Act 3 being activity of our interest.
Act1--FS+10-->Act2----FS--->Act 3
Act 2 has completed. Act 1 is still ongoing till 5-oct with +10day lag on the FS link which explains act3 being extended all the way to 2-nov even without a direct link i guess. In situations like these i do find the ’expected finish’ facility in p3e quite handy.
