I am trying to track progress of a bunch of activities. When I enter the activities which are 100% complete by actuals it is working. Now, when I have some activities that are in the middle i.e 40% complete and when I enter the percent complete and schedule it, the target bars along with the target dates are moving along with the actual. But it shouldnt do this. It needs to fix the target in place and only move the actuals. So i am not able to understand if some of my settings are wrong or for that matter whats the problem.
i would appreciate if anyone can help me fix this.

Oldest first- 0Muhammad Waseem, PMP ·I think you are need to define the bars properly, there is a chance that you mihgt not have check target bar in the bars setting dialog box. Otherwise there is no other setting as will move the target bar along with actuals if u have properly asigned the target to your project in Tools>Project utilities>Target.

Can you try to check the Start Point type and Finish Point type in your Target Bar Structure? There might be a chance that instead of Putting the "Target 1 early start" and the "Target 1 early finish" respectively, the "early start" and the "early finish" type was installed.
