Field work is paid for each turn of work. First 8 hours are paid at $100 each, the following 2 are paid $150 and the following hour is paid $200.

A person who worked 8 hours in a turn earns $800, a person who worked 11 hours in a turn earns $800 + $300 + $200 = $1500

A person working in the office earns 2000 not caring if he worked 8 or 11 hours.

Each one is paid the friday each 2 weeks.

How can I model this in Spider?

    Define following work weeks:
    8 hours/day work week for office work and standard payments (let’s suppose 8 - 17 with 12 - 13 break),
    11 hours/day work week for overtime works (8 - 20 with 12 - 13 break),
Regular overtime week (17 - 19), 2 hours per day,
Large overtime week (19 - 20), 1 hour per day.
Create Calendars with these work weeks.

Define Resource calendar that has 11 hours/day week and Resource cost $100/hour.
Open Overtime table (in Resource section of Main window) and add Overtime Calendar, and Large Overtime calendar. In cost % per hour column enter 150 for Overtime Calendar and 200 for Large Overtime calendar.
In Resource Properties select Overtime, and add these overtime records.

    Now everything is set.
If activity calendar will be more than 8 hours/day assigned resources will work overtime and overtime payments will be calculated and considered in project, activity and resource costs.

Office work uses 8 hours/day calendar and you shall not plan overtime if you don’t pay for it. But approach is the same with one exception - you pay 0 for overtime work.

The figures are too high and I suspect that they are not for one hour but for a week. It is not clear from your letter. But approach is the same - you shall convert the salary into hour costs.

    Best Regards,
    Vladimir
