I think this one qualifies.
Roy Rogers was attacked by a mountain lion and although he managed to kill the beast he died of his wounds.
After going through the Pearly Gates the first person he met was Glenn Miller.
Glenn pointed to the mountain lion in his cage and said - "Pardon me Roy - Is that the cat you knew who chewed you?"
Any worse ones out there?
