Hi all I a giving an old problem a new try! Has any of you geeks written a VB or else routine in order to determine which is the driving predecessor of a task? I would like to show the driving predecessor on the left of each critical task’s bar. Tks in advance!

MSP 2007 does show this now, but it has a few bugs and may be best to wait for the first SP before upgrading.

    Nicolas,

Rod Gill’s book "VBA Programming for Microsoft Office Project" ISBN: 0-9759828-7-7 contains the macro you’re looking for, including a full explanation of the code.

    Cheers,

    Niek.

Microsoft Project 2007 introduced a Task Drivers form that indicates which is the driving predecessor and whether the schedule has been Resource Leveled. It will also display the effects of leveling.

Select the Task Drivers icon on the Standard Toolbar to open the Task Drivers pane
