I am trying to import a Value List from Excel into Project 2003, into a Custom Text Field. I have an excel file with the code, description and sequence #.

    Bryan,
    go to File, Save As (strange way of doing, for sure), select Excel
    then build a map (table) that contains the same field as your Excel worksheet; you will have to create the custom fields first of all
    when these map is completed and saved, open the Excel file into MS Project
