A simple question,
How can I create a recurrent tasks in P6?
I tried the following but each has its own restrictions
1- Defined a special calendar for the task, and gave the task the duration of the whole project
restriction: the task only appears once when I group my activities per "Start Date" and I want it to appear in each time interval
2- Create more than one activity, link them with a lag, schedule using 24hr calendar lag
restriction: if one activity gets delayed, it will affect its successor..and this is not the real case. not to mention it is time consuming
Is there other way round?

Recurrent tasks do not exist in Primavera.
For my experience those are tasks such as meetings, reports etc. which are important but no need to trace if they were on time.
In general I use the type level of effort and assign the resources with an appropriate rate, e.g. 2 hours a week.
If you must trace if they were done one time you’ll need an activity per period.
Sorry, no ideal solution.
