Dear all,

I am learning P6 and there are three percent complete types for me to choose:
- Physical
- Duration
- and Unit

Can you give a real world example of when to choose which type of those to best suite the need of updating activities process.

Thankyou

    Physical:
Used with tasks were RD and PCT are not linked. Example: Engineering drawings have progress steps (10, 30, 50, 80, 100) that don’t relate to remaining duration, so you can set both separate.

    Duration:
Your RD & PCT are linked, so basically your progress is linear with your duration.

    Unit:
PCT is calculated based on your resource units. All planned units are summed (of all the resources on your tasks) and you will enter actual units for each resource. Based on this your PCT will be calculated.
