Actual Cost is not getting displayed

On my updated schedule my actual cost or units are getting wipped out to zero whereas the budget cost seems ok. when i look at the earned value cost on progressed activities it looks good. when I generate the cost curve the curve is computed only for the planned items (right of the data date) and the total budget cost on the curve is reduced by whatever $$ value earned.
