How to export or save complete *.xer file including wbs, resources, codes etc from our Oracle Primavera P6 server to our desktop very quickly?

In my case it usually takes 1 hour to save *.xer file  from Oracle server to my desktop.......too slow.

Why does this happen? Where is problem?

How can  I save any file from Oracle P6 server to my desktop within  few minutes?

Experts P6,P7, please let me know the solution of the above problem.

    Smith,The Export Process is

    Smith,

    The Export Process is simple and there are no tricks involved in that.When you click on export the wizard leads you till the end.You just have to chek on whatever is your requirement i,e WBS,Codes,WP & docs etc.even you can use group & sort and filters as well.

    Do't forget to click on export box while exporting.

    Primavera is a heavy software I am using Core I3 laptop with 2 GB Ram still when the project becomes extra large I face problems in importing and exporting.So if you have an extensively bigger project then it will definitely take some time my friend :P
