Saving a copy before starting!!

Hello, I'm new to Primavera and have been given the task of updating a plan in P6 but before i start i want to save the original on my desktop in case i make mistakes in the original that cannot be undone etc.

Is it just a case of File, Save As and rename the plan and save to desktop or to some other convienient place?

Any suggestions as to what would be the best solution for this.

    Eport Your file from  File--> Export and save it at your desired location

    Thanks, i will give that a try tomorrow - I was a bit confused with Primavera being a database how to save a copy.
