Construction planning process

How the procedure should be between the execution team, planner, planning manager etc.
I mean first planner first to have discussion with Project manager/site team regarding the working methodology, then to prepare the schedule, then to issue to execution team for review. & then can finalize.....what do u peoples think....

any graphical charts available regarding the schedule preparation/Finalization

    Dear Mukunda,

    The process depends on the size of the project. If it is a simple project then you have 1 person doing all the work, and if it is a big project, then you might have 30 planners in the planning department.

    So if you give us a better idea about the $, time, staff that you have, maybe we can assist you more.

    Dear Makunda:

    Have you had some exposure to 4D modeling tools that use WorkFace Planning? There is a trend especially in plant construction to make these tools a standard.
